Argentina’s national sport is a 17th-century creation known as Pato (Duck), where two teams on horseback vie for possession of a ball with six equidistant handles.

History[]

The original version of the game was played with a live duck inside a sack rather than a ball, but, of course, that was outlawed years ago.
